St. Louis...... Austin, Texas

I just spent three weeks in weather much better than our own. Time was spent in the gutted town of St. Louis and even more time was invested in the thriving city of Austin Texas. It felt great to ride in a t-shirt and no helmet. Bacon is just getting settled into the texas town so I spent two weeks with him and his lady. I made some new friends and partied with others long over due.

Austin is a kick ass little town. Except traffic of I-35 which the Texas State Legislature needs to get off it's ass and pass the lane splitting bill.

Fuck it... I split the lanes anyway. The cops seem very lenient to motorcycle traffic. Right there where 290 opens up into interstate we were well into the 100's... riding side by side when a cop passed us in the next lane... got in front of us then gave us the thumbs up.

Right on Josh. Can't do that around the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex, the cops would be all over your ass. I'm used to no traffic regulations at all here in kimchiland and get home to Fort Worth and forget I'm home and usually get a ticket every year the first day of riding while on vacation.

Soon I'll post Glorious Malort reaction pics and bring a little Chicago tradition to another country. Got our Prospect Gumball (Kevin O'Malley) there in Chicago sending me a bottle.

did you make it down into the hill country any? luckenbach? llano?

i used to live down there and there's some great riding once you get out of the city - though some decent destinations within the city as well.

i'm heading there in about 2 months before setting out through the northwest and canada. looking forward to it.
