I was feeling a bit lazy at first..... I haven't been in the shop in quite some time. It would have been so easy to just make a pan out of one piece of 16 gauge steel. I had to force myself to continue on and make something strong and something that is comfortable. I wanted to make sure this pan acts as structural device as well as a place to set my ass. It seems I always have a hundred pounds of shit strapped to the sissy bar which puts a lot of stress on the fender. A passenger would also put on some added stress. I guess I could put another fixture point connecting the sissy bar to the frame at another location but I don't think it would look all that great on this bike. The seat pan is made out of two pieces of sheet metal then boxed and fit to my ass. The more comfortable it is in steel the more comfortable it will be with added padding. This seat is already more comfortable than any seat I have owned so it should feel real nice with some padding and a thousand miles.

Looks killer Josh, nice work. And congrats on the cover pic, that shit is so sweet.
wow man that looks great!
Looks bad ass
Lookin' cozy. I'm always lookin' at Gramp's old iron tractor seats thinkin about the miles he musta put on those. He says they were plenty comfortable for an 18 hour day in front of the plow.
thats pretty slick running the wires under the seat like that. I think thats what you did?
Nice!

badass seat..yuare friggin good ..
nice work man! how did you go about doing the forming? did you bend the sides over or are the sides separate pieces welded and smoothed?
looking good...
It's a great-looking and cozy-looking seat. There's nothing that can match a custom-made seat that will fit you well to perfection when you sit. Good job!
Nice one, really neatly done!
Always worth the time to do it once and do it right! What you gonna cover it with?
