I was hoping my compression problem was related to the bad spark plug threads of the front cylinder. That wasn't the only issue. I also had some carbon build up on the rear exhaust valve which kept it from closing all the way. I cleaned everything and lapped the valves. In the end a lot of problems have been solved. I feel much better about putting some real miles on this bike before ripping it apart this winter. It should be up and running later today.
