Gum Farm Run

There was a lot of different things going on this weekend but I always make it a point to hit the hometown party if at all possible. It's quite a different speed than I'm typically used to but I've been going for many years and since it takes place in my little town everyone is related in one way or another. I'm the odd ball in the bunch and they scratch their heads while looking at junk heap but they are in most all cases nice people. This year's ride took us up near Edgerton Wisconsin and ended at Richie and Lissa Gum's farm where they held bike games.... a pig roast... live music and invited everyone to crash on the lawn.

I'm not a big fan of burn outs but sometimes I don't mind watching people get drunk and destroy the bikes. Next weekend he'll take her out for a ride and wonder why his top end is making such a funny noise.

That flame bike is lame, but that is such a cool shot with the glowing pipes.

I like i said.... this event is something different then I typically attend but it was fun and I make posts about the things I experience and the images I create from those experiences. The pictures I selected are of the very few "kustom" bikes that were on this run. Gives you an idea what goes on in my neck of the woods. But to each his own. If that's the bike that makes this man happy then good for him. "Two Wheels is Two Wheels" as long as you are riding the shit out of what you have it doesn't really matter in the end.

Funny thing is most the people on the run said the same about my bike. But I know that I'm putting more miles on my piece of shit than they are putting on their piles of shit so that's all that matters. But I'm a bum who's only job is to ride miles so I guess it's not fare to them or you.

He's just heat testing the welds on the pipes.
