Ian Mackaye is both intelligent and a great musician. I went through high school listening to Minor Threat and Fugazi. Great that he gave them something intelligent to think about.

I used to see him at a lot of shows in Baltimore. He always paid the five dollar cover even though the door guy would insist on letting him in for free, celebrity status and all. It was like two old men fighting over who was taking the check. Stand up guy. "Out of step, with the world"...

rad. I spent my teenage years going to all ages shows in SLC watching my favorite DC bands. Fugazi is still in my top 10, evry album is a work of art even after people thought they lost it (end hits).
Good times and i'm greatful for them, even though i had to sneak into a lot of 21+ clubs to see bands, but that's probably harder to do these days.

Oh, regretably Fugazi is the one band i haven't seen. Had tickets to see them at the Utah fair grounds 15 years ago and my friends mom found out we were going and took the tickets...bummer.
