first spill of the season
Last night i'm riding on the back of my buddies bonneville and some drunk yuppie pulls a left right in front of us. As i'm thinking to myself "fuck, this is gonna hurt" my buddy makes the call and puts us on the pavement rather than eat the passenger side of the truck.. Of course the dickface in the suv splits. Typical bent bars, broken shifter, and smashed exhaust. Actually it was pretty fun wrecking with two people, we got to share the rash. Anyway, a cabbie grabbed the plate number from the yuppies truck and later that night we're at the bar and I run into a cop buddy who rides and he says"you get the plate"? This is when it's good to have friends on that side of the law. He gave me some options of sideways justice and this yuppie is gonna spend alot of money this month keeping his cage on the road. Rob's Shop
On Thursday we got down to Business. Headed over to Rob's early to get some work done.

Bacon put a Shovelhead motor together while I took a look around Rob's shop. As you can probably see.... Rob is very well organized and is a clean freak..... Translates into the motors he builds. Everything he does is perfect. I wish I had some of his problems. Like having more parts than space........ and the parts he has are all the parts you wish you had. Yeah..... I have more parts than space but I just have one big pile of shit.

Later that night, Dan's mother cooked us the best steak dinner!

After dinner we fed the horses some carrots.

Come on home

Ramblin' around,

Craigslist'n

Today I caught wind of a Craigslist add that stated...... truck load of parts. John is a younger guy that bought out a parts load from a guy south of Chicago. Found some goodies at a good price. Sounds like it was picked through but he still has some good stuff. Got me some primary tins, 19 inch rim, sporty rear rim hub and drum, a cool little rectangle headlight, some kicker covers and most importantly kemosabe bobs!

whooped
Late night led to a long day and an aching back, getting old. lift with your legs not your back. Too tired to be clever so enjoy another wheelie. By the way it's finally warm as shit here and it takes skin to win. I curse the streets of Chicago every winter but it always wins me back come sunshine. I'm ranting. Hi Nicole.
Jawbreaker
Deadly as the viperPeering from its coil
The poison there is coming to the boil
Ticking like a time bomb
The fuse is running short
on the verge of snapping if it's caught
And all the pressure that's been building up
For all the years it bore the load
The cracks appear, the frame starts to distort
Ready to explode
Jawbreaker
Crouching in the corner
Wound up as a spring
Piercing eyes that flash are shimmering
Muscles are all contorted
Claws dug in the dirt
Every ounce of fiber on alert
Bungs..... Hot off the lathe!
Couldn't wait any longer to get bungs from Paul..... so I made some up. Of course it's 2:30 a.m. and they will probably show up on my door step in 6 hours.

On a side note......... A ride on a motorcycle can really turn your day around. It's like a restart button. I looked all over hell yesterday for the right side front motor mount plate for my sickle and couldn't find that sum bitch anywhere. I took a ride, got back and found it within two minutes. Later that night I was ready to call it a day in the shop, took a ride and ended up working 5 more hours. Today I fucked up some threads in the bung for my filler cap while I was welding it in. sat there for hours with a dremel trying to fix'm. Finally I said "fuck a bunch of this" and took a ride. Ran into Rick from Sycamore Welding and fab at the gas station. He said come down to the shop.... I think I have a 1 inch fine thread tap. Sure enough..... two minutes later the threads were fixed!

Ottawa
On Wednesday we took a drive into Ottawa to get some steel shelving units for Dan's new shop. It was a shitty day as were most while I was there.

Picking up the shelving units.

Found this 69er with sidecar in the dude's Garage.

We hit a little diner in the middle of nowhere and got some grub. Candice's favorite meal is Poutine. She eats it for breakfast, lunch and Dinner........ appetizer, main course and dessert! It's something the French came up with....... French Fries, gravy and massive chunks of cheese curds! It's actually pretty amazing.

Scotty Stopnik stole my heart!
TCB......
I found out pretty quickly that Bacon just does not believe in sleep. I thought a rooster would be the most of problems up there....... but no.. I awoke to a.... "whatta ya do'n!!!!" every morning. Most days start out with packaging and boxing motorcycle parts. This is followed by a forty five minute car ride to the post office. So we packed the 53 Pontiac full of boxes and headed out.

The gals at the post office know Dan well!

We fueled up and Bacon showed me around the area with stories starting like "this one time..... I had this 62 chev" or "I was on my 52 pan" or "I had this chick on the back of my 72 shovel" and of course he would explain in detail the bike or car before he actually got the the story he was going to tell.

Found this on the wall at Mike's shop. Mikes welds up all of Bacon's cases.

We headed back to the farm to get some work done. Bacon worked on Brian's Pan and I bead blasted my heads and cylinders.
