Big Scott Stopnik

Big Scott on his 50 Panhead. It is one of the original "Dragon Bikes" built for the movie The Wild Angels. There were a handfull of them made for the movie. After the Wild Angels was completed it went to the Movieland Wax Museum in Southern California. It sat on display for 35 years. Big Scott wasn't looking to own a "movie bike" but it was cheaper than most of the pans he was looking at so he picked it up. He saved the original tins and had a different sent of original HD tanks painted by Sonny at Road Dog Customs. The Original paint was stored in the closet for safe keeping.

It just so happens I shot the bike over looking the vary oil field that Peter Fonda pulls into in the beginning of the movie. It wasn't planned just a coincidence.

    Sweet.. Venice canals in the first part. They don't look all ratty now though.

    Scott's a great guy and he'll freely tell ya the real story. The bike wasn't from the movie. It's the replica built in '67 for the Nancy Sinatra display at the Movie World Wax Museum, Buena Park, Ca. It's still a very cool bike with it's own history.
